Loops by Jashar Awan

From Caldecott Honor– and Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor–winning author-illustrator Jashar Awan comes a hilarious, confidence-boosting picture book about learning to tie your shoelaces — and the perseverance it takes to get there.

A little kid is wearing his very first pair of big-kid shoes, the kind with laces. They're a little roomy (shoes to grow into, of course), but he knows he can handle them. Except they keep falling off. Not to worry — he knows how to tie those loops. But wait... where did that shoe go?

A gentle, funny reminder that nothing new is ever easy at first. With persistence, even the scariest challenges become second nature — and before you know it, you're a big kid. Hardcover, 48 pages. Three starred reviews.
